Description:
- Habit and Habitat: ong evergreen tree, grown in full sun or shade.Susceptible to frost climate.Terrestrial habitat.
- Distribution: Native to Asia, Malaysia, Australia and parts of Pacific region.
- Morphology:
Leaf: Alternate, pinnate, evergreen, ovate leaves.They drop from branches hence the name weeping fig.
Infloroscence: Hypanthodium, receptacles, solitary, sessile.
Flower:
Male Flower: Shortly pedicellate, abundant stamens.
Female Flower: sessile in nature.
Fruit: Synconus and is specialized structure.
Flowering and Fruiting Time: February – April. - Propagation: By cutting.
