Description
- Habit and Habitat: Deciduous tree growing 12-24 mts tall. Terrestrial habitat.
- Distribution: Native to Africa and also distributed in India, Assam, Bengal, Bihar.
- Morphology:
Leaf: Simple, alternate, stipulate, petiolate, margin double serrate, Apex acute.
Inflorescence: Axillary or terminal type.
Flowers: Bisexual flowers, yellow in colour.
Androecium: many free stamens.
Gynoecium: Ovary superior, globose, ovules many, two lobed, hairy.
Fruit: Drupe, globose, about pea sized.
Seeds: are of medicinal value. - Propagation: by seeds.
